NOTES TO KNOW
• Eastern Illinois won its fifth game this season beating Tennessee Tech on the road as the Panthers are now 5-2 overall, 3-1 in the OVC. EIU is now 3-1 on the road this season with wins at FBS member Miami (Ohio) and then No. 5 ranked Illinois State.
• Eastern Illinois has a record of 95-18 (84 percent) when the Panthers are ranked and are facing an unranked FCS opponent. EIU has won 65 percent of its games overall when playing as a ranked school. The Panthers are ranked No. 15 this week the fifth straight season EIU has been ranked.
• Quarterback Mitch Kimble (http://www.eiupanthers.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5104) was named the OVC co-Newcomer of the Week after leading the Panthers to a come-from-behind win at Tennessee Tech. It is the second time this season that Kimble has won the award after taking home Player & Newcomer honors on Sept. 11 following EIU's road win at FBS member Miami (Ohio).
• With one more win Eastern Illinois will lock up its second consecutive winning season and the fourth winning campaign in the last five years. Last year Kim Dameron (http://www.eiupanthers.com/coaches.aspx?rc=673) led the Panthers to a 7-5 record and FCS playoff appearance, the 16th FCS playoff appearance in school history.
• Nick Bruno (http://www.eiupanthers.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5078) extended his consecutive extra points made streak to 52 straight on Saturday at Tennessee Tech. Bruno's last miss was October 3, 2015 at Austin Peay. Bruno ranks fourth all-time on EIU's extra points made list and is 102-of-104 for his career.
• Dennis Turner (http://www.eiupanthers.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5165) caught four passes for 122 yards and a touchdown on Saturday at Tennessee Tech to become the first EIU wide receiver with more than 100-yards receiving in a game this season. Running back Korliss Marshall (http://www.eiupanthers.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5105) had 111 yards receiving in the season opener versus Western Illinois.

• Eastern Illinois and Murray State will be meeting for the 32nd time with the Panthers leading the all-time series 18-13. EIU has won four straight in the series with a 34-20 win last year in Murray. The last Murray State win in the series was in 2011. The last Racers win at O'Brien Field was when they beat EIU during the Panthers 2010 homecoming game. Dating back to 2003, EIU has 11 of the last 13 meetings. Since 2000, EIU is 7-1 against Murray State at O'Brien Field. The closest game was EIU's 50-49 overtime win in 2012.
