FIRST WEEK WITH ALL INNER CONFERENCE MATCHUPS
Kennesaw State @ Gardner-Webb - Dawgs pull it off by 7
Monmouth @ Liberty - Flames light 'em up by 21
Presbyterian @ Charleston Southern - Bucs are back and roll by 28
My Power Rankings
1. Charleston Southern (3-2) - Haven't played in a while, the rust will come off in what should be a tune up game against the Blue Hose. Bucs need to win out by big margins to try to capture a playoff seed.
2. Liberty (3-3) - Still a question in my mind. Losses came to 2 FBS teams and Jacksonville State. If they are anything like recent Liberty squads I see a 7-4 finish with a lone conference loss to Charleston Southern. But GW could catch them slipping.
3. Gardner-Webb (3-4) - Even bigger question, but definitely an improved ball club. Lost to The Citadel by 7, played Ohio tight for 80% of the game, played Coastal tight, and beat the teams they were supposed to beat pretty handledly. Excited to see them match up against Liberty next week.
4. Kennesaw State (4-2) - Confusing loss to second year team and SoCon bottom dweller ETSU, but turned it around winning 4 straight (albeit terrible competition) until dropping one to Liberty last week. We'll see a lot Saturday.
5. Monmouth (4-3) - Average season so far, with a team that was supposedly coming in with the league's top defense, and set to compete for a conference title. 0-2 in conference but I still believe they are a better overall team than PC.
6. Presbyterian (2-4) - Changes need to be made, even with a win against Monmouth this past Thursday, I don't see a possibility of anything more than 2-9 this season. Add in a loss to a D2 team. Struggling ball club.
