The Southern Conference named its football players of the week today for all games played Oct. 6-8. Wofford's David Marvin was tabbed as the Special Teams Player of the Week. Samford quarterback Devlin Hodges was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Chattanooga's Montrell Pardue earned the Defensive Player of the Week award. The players of the week are selected by the league office.
