Not the football team, the administration. The PC police have taken over.
Football Game Program Cover Artwork
We apologize for yesterday's football game program cover that included historic artwork of insulting portrayals of indigenous people, images that we have long considered to be a violation of our values of mutual respect, equality, and decency. We did not intend to perpetuate these portrayals or condone them.

Not sure if one is available. Someone who was at the game would have to post it online somewhere (and probably will). I've heard it was a compilation of covers from old programs to celebrate the 100th Yale-Dartmouth game yesterday. Dartmouth used to be the Indians.

Fair enough. Love to see it if you could chase down an image.

When I used to buy Harvard memorabilia on eBay, I bought several vintage programs that were definitely not PC. Screw 'em if they can't take a joke.

Did anyone actually complain? I mean actual Native Americans, not the white guilt crowd.

I would ask for your money back. The reason this stuff is going on is because people are not willing to stand up to them. I no longer flinch from getting in peoples faces and calling them dumbasses.

I have a UNI-North Dakota program with the Panther dancing around and Indian tied to a post on fire.

I would love to see that one.
I saw a 2009 Texas Tech/UND game program that has Mike Leach and Yosemite Sam on back of a Red Raider guy that is chasing an Indian on a horse. They didn't give a ***** about the ongoing NCAA nickname deal.

Too many insensitive SJWs, White Knights, Fedora Tippers, and Betas. That is the main problem.

Would love to know what each of those mean.
Have a feeling this thread is headed downhill fast.

Social Justice Warrior (Should be obvious), White Knight/Fedora Tippers (White Knight worship and praise women in every way possible to the point where they are no longer men and prefer to be in the friendzone at all times, and sometimes feel the need to play the mother figure), Beta (Opposite of Alpha)
Hope that helped.

Been there a few times back when I was in High School, and a couple of times Junior/Senior year of college (3-4yrs ago) but if I am going to an board, I'd rather go to reddit. Plus, I usually avoid those as I would rather spend my time doing more productive things.

I have a lot of respect for Tom Beckett. Despite the football programs run of mediocrity he has overseen a pretty good renaissance in Yale athletics, particularly hockey and basketball. A little of that respect has now been lost.

The Association of Native Americans at Yale released a statement on Facebook sayingthe images create a noninclusive learning environment at Yale and make it challenging to promote accurate portrayals of indigenous peoples.
How does a caricature do that?

The programs depict the Dartmouth mascot as it existed at the time. They are not cartoon stereotypes.
Changing to Green was stupid. If the mascot is non-PC, at least give the people something they can identify with. Do they have something like Stanford's stupid tree?

Better!

But in the past few years, Dartmouth as been trying to market the "Lone Pine" symbol more on uniforms.
