Yes. Back in 2010 the last game of the regular season, MSU-Mankato was supposed to host the eventual D2 champion UMD Bulldogs. I waited as long as I could to leave, but didn't hear anything on the radio although there was a snowstorm. Should never have left the house. Got to Mankato and suddenly they said that the game would be played the next day at noon at Southwest State in Marshall, MN- about two hours or so from Mankato. Left a full hour early in a four wheel drive pickup the next day. It hadn't snowed at all out there and we had no problems. Mavs were up early but the Bulldogs wore them down. Seemed weird to have a home game on the road.
Same thing happened in basketball due to snowstorms but that doesn't seem as odd as football. Back in 1991 the entire slate of college games in Minnesota got wiped out due to the Halloween storm. Never did make those up.

For the first time in its 129-year football history, Yale will play a game on a Sunday, against Dartmouth in the Yale Bowl at 1 p.m. on Oct. 7.
The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 6, but was moved to the following day as the grand finale of Yale's Tercentennial celebration. Tom Beckett, the Yale athletic director, said the game would be an open house with no admission.
Yale lost so a repeat is unlikely

We've had quite a few in our history, most of them have been on Labor Day Weekend. We've played in The Labor Day Classic over in Birmingham which is a Sunday night game. We played in The MEAC/SWAC challenge back in 2012 which was a Sunday game. We would also play in Atlanta at Fulton County Stadium in the now defunct Peach State Classic.

Bad idea. Too many college & nfl fans who would rather watch the NFL than a random game. You're not going to get too many FCS fans to watch regular games when the NFL is playing.

That's why most Sunday games are Labor Day weekend.

Not in SEC Country....the NFL is just where players HAVE to go when their eligibility is used up. hahaha
But to the original question...as far as Chattanooga goes, I don't think so. I played on a Monday in HS due to Hugo though.
