I was much more worried going into last year's matchup than I am going into this one... that's the one I figured where the streak was going to end. SDSU could win, I won't be shocked if they do but as the Geico commercial would say "If you're NDSU you beat SDSU in football... it's what you do."

Consequently, if SDSU does win my retort will be "Enjoy the win because you've got another 8 game losing streak in this series coming your way after this one."

You are forgetting the titles in the 1960's, 1980's, 1990's and the 2010's.

I have no qualms about saying I am worried about this game. I am worried about this game. I am worried about how our secondary does against Weienke and Goedert. I am worried if we can get pressure on Christianson. I am worrried about turnovers and penalties and the fact that all streaks come to an end. I doubt many Bison fans will say they aren't worrried.

If SDSU wins next week it means you get the Dakota Marker and a MVFC win. That is it. A big deal yeah kind of but it doesn't mean that you have knocked off the king as you say. That can only happen in the playoffs. Where you win the National Championships.

Both were overrated due to last year's success. Pretty clear now. Reading these comebacks from Jacks fans is hilarious, trying to come up with reasons why our schedule is poor now because teams have fallen off since the Bison beat them. Are you really that short sighted to where you can't look back and realize that even though a team was ranked or unranked, they are probably better or worse than that ranking, depending on the circumstances? I'm not going to say anything as we have been the usd of the SDSU-usd rivalry lately in the Dakota Marker Series. Our defense is terrible, and we have absolutely no balance on offense. While I think our offense will score when they have the ball, the Bison's ability to control the line of scrimmage combined with their methodical pace will probably put the TOP in the ballpark of 45 minutes Bison and 15 minutes Jacks. I don't see us winning. Hope I'm wrong.

Vraa does run good routes, and has sure hands. However, his 40 dash at 4.79 is too high. It could have been overlooked if he was at a blue blood program such as Alabama or Michigan. His best chance is the CFL, then hope someone in the NFL can pick him up.

I think it would do quite well. Add to those Vincent Jackson, Marques Colton, Adam V., on defense Robert Mathis, Marcus Williams, Joe Mays, and London Fletcher....just to name a few!

The difference in the last how many ever matchups have been in the trenches. This is still true of the upcoming matchup. Good coaches will counter this with different schemes (screens, quick hitting passes, etc.). It seems like our coaches have never been willing to change our game plan enough to make a difference. Our offensive game plan has historically been run first and then hit the play action passes (far too slow developing play action passes I might add). However, I feel like with Christion at the helm, our plan on offense has changed a bit, imo for the better, hopefully the coaches can ramp up the quick hitting plays to lessen the effects of their advantage in the trench.

On the defensive side, I think we are going to have to load the box and make Stick beat us with his arm. All of this is obviously easier said than done, but I think they are the keys to getting that elusive win vs. the Bison. I know, other teams have probably thought of this and tried it as well, but it still holds true, we just need to execute it.

I honestly do have a decent amount of confidence in our run defense. They've done a decent job of limiting the opponents running game the past two games. Unless NDSU does what Poly did to us SDSU wins. Don't worry my confidence will grow as the week goes on.

If the Bison coaches' game plan is to only have a 3-man rush on defense, like EWU, then the Bison will lose. I'm almost positive they will not do that debacle again, especially against another potent passing attack but who knows. SDSU will certainly exploit, or try to, the young Bison secondary....every team has done that so far. The Bison need a good pass rush to disrupt the passing game. Maybe not INTs but hurries, knockdowns, rushes and sacks are just as good IMO in this game.

SDSU will more than likely move the ball thru the air but I think the Bison defense is good enough to at least slow it down and get some 3 and outs....maybe more than "some". I am putting this game on the Bison OL. If they come out and establish the LOS and the Bison can consistently run the ball and eat up clock, they will win hands down IMO. Stick will have to move the chains with his arm. There will be plenty of 3 and medium to long situations and the Bison have to keep drives going to keep TC and company off the field. Field position will be huge in this game also. Make SDSU earn their scores.

Having watched SDSU play defense, I'm throwing out the Cal Poly game, the Bison should be able to run the ball on them. The Bison need good 1st down yardage to keep SDSU from continually loading the box. Our OC will probably pass on 1st down also to keep the Jacks guessing but if the Bison are continually in 3 and long then it will be a long day.

Overall it is the line play, like you said on both sides, that will determine the game.

If the Jacks can jump on then right away with the bison tending to be slow starting this year, they have a good shot.

Late in the 4th the Jacks will be up by 2 scores, the Bison will make a late surge, score with a minute left and end up having to try an onside kick. Either Weineke or Goedert times the hop perfect and grabs it to seal the victory.

I believe they are. SDSU has a very good WR corp but IMO, they are not as good as EWU's. TC will get some yards but when he is on the sideline, the Jacks cannot score.

I get it, the Jacks have some awesome playmaker on the offensive side. Well, 3 of them. But the fact of the matter is that the Jacks haven't played a single team this year with a decent defense. You can't possibly expect to head into the tough part of your schedule and expect the same output. That is just silly.
