Is this another key piece in the profit-sharing vs. amateurism case that the NCAA and the former student-athletes are fighting against each other? Or is this another additional can of fuel that is added to the ongoing fire described?

It sounds like an over-reaction. Maybe it's just because autograph seekers are bothering the players.

On the other hand, Louisville is a one-man team, and any suspension of their QB would be a major blow.

Ah the benefit of attending a school where no one of consequence attends. I can go on the field and shake hands with the players, wish them well, and mean it. No ulterior motives to flip an autograph on eBay or ride on coat tails at our small schools. (Unless you have a player who's name rhymes with "Larson Bintz") :D
