Norfolk Neptunes??

I know there are quite a few posters on this board from Viriginia. I was wondering if any of you Virginians recall this Continental League Football team from the 1960's. I lived in Norfolk, Virginia for 4 years in the mid to late 60's and remember seeing the Neptunes play when I was a young boy at Foreman Field. I was wondering if anyone else out there recalls them or that league.

Was that the same league that the Hartford Knights and/or Hartford Charter Oaks played in? I too went to many of their games in the late 60's and early 70's.

That's the league. Hartford did indeed have a team in it. Good memory.
