Coach Tim Walsh’s Mustangs, who lost by three points in overtime to FBS member Nevada in the season opener followed by wins over eight-time Pioneer League champion San Diego and then-No. 9-ranked South Dakota State, rides a three-game winning streak to a No. 16 ranking in the STATS media poll and No. 18 in the FCS Coaches Poll.
