Bob Knight's Texas Tech Red Raiders beat New Mexico 70-68 on New Year's Day to give Knight the 880th win of his career and sole possession of first place on the alltime list, one ahead of North Carolina patriarch Dean Smith. Knight is more than 100 wins ahead of the man who ranks second in wins among active coaches. Who is he?

Yes, I believe it was Eddie Sutton until he retired recently. I agree that it must be Olson.

Arizona's Lute Olson is second to Knight in active wins with 772. Duke's Mike Krzyzewski is next with 766.
