Saw this. Nice and early release. Not too keen on Newberry, but there was a lot of emphasis on the "IN-STATE" opponents in the article. Helps travel, helps fans spending in state, oh and it really sucks for OOC strength of schedule. Maybe Clemson will have a down year. LOL.

Always cringe when I see Newberry on a schedule. The game really only has the opportunity to hurt a FCS, no real opportunity to help. They're always loaded with transfers and good looking players so it's usually a potential for a trap game.

At least they'll start 3-0, but could lose the next 4.

That looks a lot like our schedule this year (and that isn't a good thing). The lack of a marquee OOC game could hurt them (and is this year) if an at large bid is needed.
Clemson is a good money game though, close to home.
I agree, the VMI -The Citadel game should be on 11/11.
