Norther Colorado backup punter Mitch Cozad stabs teammate Rafael Mendoza in the kicking leg.
Not a good story (maybe one of the year's worst), but certainly drew some attention.

It could of been 8, if not for a FG wide right by about 2 ft. in the UNI vs. Iowa State game.:bawling: :bawling: :bawling: :bawling:
NDSU came close vs. Minnesota also.

Ralph, thanks for separating the Santos and Ball accomplishments into separate stories. JMHO, but David Ball's records deserve evaluation on their own. I was afraid I would get branded as a homer if I had brought that up first.

Glad to see that the teams of the PFL, NEC and MAAC, most likely via Monmouth's and USD's excellent seasons, in addition to a number of good wins by the NEC, were mentioned by someone other than me. As you might guess, I would have probably "mentioned" the so called "Mid-Majors" in a way that would have upset the majority of AGS folks....

YSU returns to the playoffs. First time since Tressel departed to THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY.
Montana losing at home in the playoffs........again.
Appy State's dominance of the FCS.
FCS wins some big games vs. some teams from major I-A Conferences in 2006.
San Diego not making the playoffs. Proved why they did NOT belong after losing to UC-Davis.

USD "proves" they do not belong in the playoffs by losing to UCD by ten, while Montana State loses to UCD by 45-0 and yet they belong.... Try again....
