Saint Francis found its way to the program’s first Week 1 victory in nearly a decade and two of the veterans behind the effort have earned NEC weekly honors. SFU senior tailback Khairi Dickson, the NEC Offensive Player of the Week, totaled 154 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns in a runaway victory over Patriot League member Georgetown. Meanwhile, Lance Geesey’s record-breaking season-opening performance resulted in 12 points for the Red Flash and NEC Special Team Player of the Week honors.
