GRAMBLING, La. (Football) -- On Nov. 11, 2011, three young men from Monroe, La had aspirations to advance onto the second round of the LHSAA football playoffs. Before they could do so, they would have to defeat their opponents, the Westlake High School Rams. There was a winner that Friday night but it was not Richwood High School as a feeling of disappointment was written on the faces of Martez Carter, Trey Goins and Blain Winston. The final buzzer sounded and the Richwood Rams were defeated 12-6.
