App missed a golden opportunity to upset Tennessee last night. A missed extra point, missed field goal and some questionable clock management at the end of regulation led to overtime. Then Apps defense forces a fumble in OT, but it goes forward into the endzone and is recovered by Tennessee.

Damn, you hate to lose those. But it does bode well for the season I hope. Particularly if the freshman kicker gets things together.

Yeah. I know how that feels.

Caught the end of it after our game last night and had flashbacks to last year at Jordan-Hare. Was pulling for App. Tough break.

I thought Tennessee's coach was incredibly classy for coming over into your post game huddle and telling your kids that he was impressed with the way they played.

You guys might have been outgunned, but you played your hearts out.

I felt like I was watching a repeat of McNeese-Nebraska two years ago....the big school escaped with a win...

I fail to see what the hoopla is. Don't you goat humpers give the same amount of free rides as the Vols? It ain't like you actually beat an SEC team giving 20 less like some people did last season.

I had to turn down a free ticket and ride to Knoxville because of work. Buddy called on Tuesday with the offer, but I was committed for 6:00 am yesterday.

Good game App. Still hearing some sports guys saying App St is I-AA.

I had someone ask me the other day who my favorite team was, and naturally I replied Appalachian State. The next question was "I mean your favorite real team"? xnodx
