How Max from that MTV show doing?

Redshirted this past year.

We do have one saftey spot vacated by graduating Jeremy Blocker, so who knows if Max could get some playing time next year.

Max, redshirted this season. Played on the scout team, hit the weights and from what I heard is fitting in very well at Furman and with his teammates.

From what I've seen in limited practice he's very fast to the ball, and is a physical hitter. Max will have a nice 4 year career at Furman next season he should backup Thomas Twitty another Alabama product. But I won't be surprised to see him got alot of rotation next season.

You know, I've never been into autographs. I've met Jerry Rice, Cypress Hill, have been backstage at Ozzfest and even hung out with Cap'n Cat, but I never get autographs.

Max seemed like a pretty good kid and I was just curious how he was working out.

I heard they decorated his locker for the premiere, I think he was the only player that could not attend due to pre-season practice. It will be interesting to see Max's development. Twitty and Lerner were both high-profile Alabama high school recruits. I would like to see them both on the field at FS and SS. That could happen in 08.

I was standing behind the last row at Elon this season and a couple of lovely Elon coed foreign exchanged students walked up to me and asked what number was Max Lerner. Redshirt was a difficult translation.

We had a guy a few years back that beat Ruben Studdard in a high school talent contest. He should have went the Idol route as his football wasn't very good.

I hear you my man. I have never gotten an autograph although I have met the likes of Hershall Walker, Oj Simpson, Troy Aikmen, Mike Ditka and many others. To me it says that that person is above you when you ask for their autograph. I think many people think they are.

:thumbsup: I couldn't agree more. While it's great to meet them, in no way should they be viewed as idols. Their pants go on one leg at a time just like everyone elses. They just happened to be blessed w/ talents that make them rich and famous. Having said all that, I do wish I could find my MJ autograph that he signed on a golf scorecard in 1985 at the high school state tournament in Chapel Hill.:smiley_wi

Guys calm down supposedly besides the Idol stuff Melvin had a family member not sure who but i believe his mom who had an illness he had to help out with as well. I heard a month ago he will be here in the spring for football and have 4 years left if anyone knows anything please let us know he would be an excellent addition to the defense!!

:rotateh: Who needs to calm down? Just stating a fact. More power to him if he can make it to the finals, support a family, and play football. We'll be fine w/ or w/out him.
