JSU placed 116 student athletes on the OVC Commisioner's Honor Roll for the 2015-16. Football had the most players on the list of all the sports at JSU with 26.

To to make the list, athletes had to maintain a 3.25 GPA.

Coach Grass has really been a great person to have for JSU. We've come a long way since he took over only two years ago. Coach Grass was recently nominated to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and was the only FCS coach to receive a nomination.

Hopefully we can get him a nice big new contract.

Agreed. It is always great to see young men excel in the classroom as that is what is the most important piece of the student athlete picture IMHO.

JSU had 21 athletes receive the OVC Academic Medal of Honor for carrying a perfect 4.0 GPA. Of the 21, 5 are Gamecock football players.
