Junior tailback Detrez Newsome headlined a league-high tying 10 Western Carolina Catamounts to grace the preseason All-Southern Conference teams unveiled today as a part of 2016 Football Media Day held at the Spartanburg Marriott. Newsome garnered the conference's top offensive prize, selected as the preseason Offensive Player of the Year by the head coaches.
