CHICAGO, Ill. –*Comcast SportsNet Chicago will broadcast this year's Mid-America Classic football game between Eastern Illinois and Illinois State which will be played on Sept. 17 in Normal.* It will be the third time that the annual game will be televised by the broadcasting group after previously carrying the 100th Mid-America Classic in 2011 in Charleston and the 2014 Mid-America Classic in Normal. This year's meeting between the two schools will be the 105th match-up as the game is the oldest FCS football rivalry in the state of Illinois and the 13th oldest at the FCS level.* Kickoff is currently set for 2 p.m.** Tickets for the game in the Eastern Illinois block are currently available by calling the EIU ticket office at 217-581-2106. Comcast SportsNet Chicago has a regional television base that reaches 4.9 million homes.* It is the television home for the most games and most comprehensive coverage of the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs and White Sox.* It is available on most cable outlets in the state of Illinois as well as on DirectTV and Dish Network.* The game is being broadcast as part of the Illinois State football TV package for the 2016 season.* Last year's game in Charleston was carried on CBS affiliate WCIA in Champaign along with live coverage on NBC affiliate WTWO in Terre Haute, Ind., and CBS affiliate WMBD in Peoria.*
