(AP) -- Michelle Wie is on track to make some history.
The 15-year-old shot a 1-under 70 at the John Deere Classic on Thursday, putting her on target to become the first woman in 60 years to make a cut on the PGA Tour. The top 70 players and ties make the cut, and there were 91 players at 1-under or better when Wie finished her first round

I feel a 76 coming tomorrow. Take it to the bank.

Wie has definitely got game but I am already tired of her and her dad. She says she wants to play exclusively on the PGA tour, yet she has not even won on the LPGA tour!! She will not make the cut as the leader now is at -7 and the pin placements get harder with each round. Go beat Annika and then come back with the PGA quest.

I think Paula Creamer is a better LPGA talent. She's 18, won twice and has all the potential in the world to be something special.

When is Natalie Gulbis gonna break out? Or has she already maxxed herself out? She's the Jennie Finch of golf, in my eyez.

I'm going to have to revise this before she tees off as I took a look at the course they're playing and I could shoot 76 today. 73 for Ms. Wie and no weekend play.

I'm tired of the Wie talk too. Until she does something under pressure, she needs to shut up. She always folds.

She is playing well buy only 2 shots off the cut line and the men are posting low scores. Lots of golf left to play so you never know what could happen!!

Michelle Wie, 15, of Honolulu, Hawaii, the first female to qualify for a USGA men's championship, posted a 2-over 72 and sits at 148.
So, 76 and then a 72. Not sure that's going to cut it at 8 over par.

Nothing against her, as I can't shoot a 72, but if she wants to really make her mark she needs to forget about the men and become the Tiger Woods of womens golf. She will make a lot of endorsement money but only if she can win tournaments and she won't do that against the men.
