For those of you that follow HS wrestling in the East, Alex Meade was a top notch wrestler at Caesar Rodney HS in Delaware and then got himself into a cunundrum with various 'transfer' attempts wherein he ended up in Easton last year, but was declared ineligible for the 2005-06 year. It was expected he'd wrestle this year for Easton, but he has not appeared on the roster and I haven't heard anything about him. Anyone know where he landed???

He is still at Caesar Rodney. (Or should I say back at Caesar Rodney?)
This past weekend he won the 145 lb. weight class at Beast of the East and was also named Outstanding Wrestler.

Meade was outstanding... winning at 145 in the 'Beast'. He beat a two time New Jersey State Champ... Frank Molinaro... 10-4 in the finals.

ngineer, if you like wrestling, you really have to get down here for next year's "beast".

Wow. Very interesting turn of events. I imagine there is a very tortured story behind it all. Hope he (and his family) get their act straightend out. The kid certainly is a talent. If he's any kind of student, maybe we'll have a shot at him in another year for Lehigh?

He's only a junior, I have no idea where he is going next year. I hope his grades are good. I know Caesar Rodney is a good school.
Below is a link to a video of his finals match at the beast.
