I thought Graham Watson's photo the start line perfectly illustrates how popular the Tour is in France...look at the crowd...this is the STARTING LINE...all they get to do is see the guys pull out of town (and still they had waited for hours to just get a glimpse of the "Le Grand Boucle")

btw..if you like crashes, there was a good one today at the end of today's stage...wet course + hard turn = pile-up

(it looked just like watching the Running of the Bulls when the bulls have to make the 90 degree turn onto Estafeta Street in San Fermin...they always end up sliding into the barrier...never fails :))
