There had been ones for single seasons, but I think they're buried below all the Idaho and NFL Draft stuff. CAA doesn't release conference schedules until the year before, so I can only add UD's non-con future schedules:

9/2/2017 - Delaware State
9/9/2017 - @ Virginia Tech
9/16/2017 - Cornell

9/8/2018 - Lafayette
9/15/2018 - Cornell

8/31/2019 - @ Pittsburgh
9/7/2019 - Delaware State

9/5/2020 - @ NC State
9/12/2020 - Delaware State

BREAKING:
NDSU Football Adds Colorado to Future Schedule
It's the Bison vs. the Buffs!
The Bison football team will travel to Boulder, Colorado for the 2024 football season opener, the schools announced today.
The teams will play Saturday, Aug. 31, at Folsom Field in Boulder. It will be NDSU’s first game with Colorado and second against a Pac-12 opponent. The Bison play at Oregon on Sept. 5, 2020.
“We are excited to add another regional FBS opponent,” said NDSU athletic director Matt Larsen. “This is a game we know our fans and many NDSU alumni in the area will be looking forward to.”
NDSU also signed a one-game contract with Butler to open the 2019 season. The first meeting between the two schools will be Saturday, Aug. 31, at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome.
The addition of Butler gives NDSU six home games in 2019. The Bison will have four Missouri Valley Football Conference games and a non-conference game with North Dakota.

i believe Maine is playing Yale in 2018, not 2017, unless this a recent addition. The Ivy League media guide lists Yale's three 2017 OOC opponents as Fordham, Holy Cross and Lehigh.

Played Valpo as our first game as a DI school(2004). Played MVSU in 2006 & 2007, Morgan State in 2010, and PVAMU in 2012. I think the Ivy is the only FCS conference we haven't played a team from.

Correct. Our restrictive scheduling pattern has kept you out of our available opponent list for the time being. If a late September date is available for you, we may contact you, but I think North Dakota isn't on our priority list of opponent locations. xsmhx

To go from not having a team to playing one of the top programs in the history of the game in such a short period of time is in my eyes a benchmark for the program. Truthfully I don't think a team like Alabama should schedule too many of these games, but they do and I'm glad they have scheduled 2 against Mercer in the coming years.

Future schedules?? We are just lucky we already have the one for this fall. :D

Hahaha! Yeah, NDSU is the same boat every year. Just replace the word "playoffs" with "future schedules" in the Jim Mora playoff rant (i.e. "Future schedules? Don't talk about—future schedules?! You kidding me? Future schedules?! I just hope we can get this season's schedule done!")

NDSU is still a game short for the next three seasons. And even if the schedules were full, you can almost guarantee that somebody is going to back out six months before the season starts.

West Alabama is pretty good. They had a respectable showing when we played them in 2014.

UNA is really good. I'm more worried about UNA this year than I am about any OVC team not named EKU.

They took us to 2OT in 2013 the last time we played. In our own house.

Our opener this year with them should be a good one. Not only is it a night game, but they are still salty about their loss in 2013. :D

Replacing Top 25 teams with bottom 25 teams for OOC games? No wonder they dumped this release on a Friday afternoon. At least the EWU game will be competitive past halftime. Are the NDSU fans who are ragging on SHSU going back and taking notes on how to spin it? :)

FCS equivalent to Alabama playing Chattanooga. Why play a tough OOC when you have a few tough MVFC games later?

It's the way it is & it's not like anyone will give up their season tickets because the play them.

Mississippi Valley State is a giant cupcake and so is Robert Morris. Eastern Washington in Cheney will be a very big test. However our conference will actually have plenty of tough teams unlike the Southland.

Normally the schedule is 1 FBS 1 good FCS and 1 cupcake. Apparently we are going with the 2 cupcake and 1 good team plan next year. If any Bison fans don't want to go watch NDSU next fall for the bad home games I would be more than happy to buy your tickets and go support the team.

That answer is easy, we play in the MVFC. That said, I still see a game @EWU so I'm not sure how this schedule is similar to SHSU's cream filled delight of easiness. Sucks for the fans though, most of the big games are on the road.

Considering the Coyotes were able to get a win the last time in Fargo and have apparently improved as a whole this may very well be a tough test for you guys.

MONTANA's FUTURE SCHEDULES:

Sept. 2 – Valparaiso – Washington-Grizzly Stadium
Sept. 9 – Washington – Seattle, Wash.

Sept. 8 – Drake – Washington Grizzly Stadium

2019
Sept. 14 – Oregon – Eugene, Ore.

Personally I would love it a lot more if we would play more FBS schools like Wyoming, Utah State, Oregon State ect. Would be a lot more exciting then cupcakes like Valiparaiso.

The information that Spear (A.D.) was stated is that there is a vested interest into keeping these FBS games, but its mostly for the paydays I'm not quite sure how the BSC is going to deal with these games.

I don't see the 2018 games remaining the same, perhaps at most they will keep two of them for Payday games. The other years seem like solid FBS games, depending on who they replace with Temple that is.

I'm assuming NSU offered a fairly good guarantee for this game for the deal to go down. Being a HBCU and JMU potentially bringing in a top 10 team to town I'm assuming NSU is banking on a crowd of 10-15k+ for an in-state game against a top FCS program.

The "big news" that was announced was just a football game scheduled with Southern in 2019. Not that I don't want to play them and the game will probably fun, but I was a little underwhelmed with the announcement considering what my speculation of what it might be were.

Any idea what Ball State is guaranteeing for the game? I know Big 10 programs generally shell out 250k and up for FCS games. So Illinois is probably paying that since its a bus trip (3 hour drive). Ball State being a MAC team who hasn't even averaged 10k fans per game the last 3 seasons can they afford more than $100K guarantee?

Good news is it appear they will have a series with Northern Colorado starting in 2018 there with a return trip by the Bears in 2020. Alcorn State series away this year and they return in 2019.

No FBS game this year but for the next three years it will be BYU, OK State and LSU. All away games :D

Looks like we're in talks with Savannah State to bring back the old "Down East Classic" in Columbus, Ga. The game was played for over 40 years until 2001. Due to the game becoming very one sided attendance dropped from 20,000+ to less than 10,000 in the final few years. The game was brought back in 2008 and 2009 but drew less than 8,000 fans due to both programs struggling at the time. Years later after litigation and bad blood between the schools, talks to bring the game back are now underway.

Because of the size of the Big Sky, even with a nine game conference schedule, there would still be two teams that would be left off of your teams schedule each season. If teams are having trouble filling a schedule, sometimes it can be easier, and more cost effective you add a conference mate that you are not scheduled to play in conference that season.

EWU and MSU don't play each other every year, and in the past they have scheduled each other as a non-conference game since it can be a high profile match-up.

2018 - Illinois (last FCS game for the Illini)

I completely disagree with the Big 10 banning its members from playing FCS schools especially when its inter-state matchups like WIU v Illinois. I can see them saying no more than 1 game against an FCS opponent but to outright ban it is dumb especially since the middle tier Big 10 schools will have a harder time being bowl eligible without a cupcake win (what most perceive the FCS games to be) to pad their win total. That's a loss of a home revenue game every year as they'll fill their schedule now with G5 teams who will require a home and home deal if its a Houston, Cincinnati, USF, Temple, Navy, Boise State, Western Kentucky or Appalachian State.

I agree, and with recent games that I've been able to go to at Illinois and Northwestern, and other fairly recent games against Purdue, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, it's nice to have an FBS game that's close enough for attend (for most fans in our area). I'm hoping that a few years of having to schedule H&H's with schools, or shell out twice as much $ to bring in a MAC team as compared to a MVFC team, might convince some of them that the scheduling and financial headaches it can cause aren't worth it. Also, if they find that they aren't being rewarded for playing a "tougher" schedule (not saying that playing someone in the low FBS is harder than a top FCS...but some perceive it that way), they may decide to backtrack on it.

We've had to schedule a few games that are further away...Colorado State, South Alabama...but thankfully we've been able to work out deals with some of the closer non-B1G schools to fill in what we're losing by not playing the B1G schools...games against OK State and Ball State are weekend trip-able for me.

Maybe that, plus the "SEC effect"...your in-conference SoS is so tough that you don't really need an incredibly tough OOC schedule. You win most (or all) of your OOC, and maybe lose a game in-conference, you'll get your high playoff spot, even if the OOC I isn't horribly difficult.

I agree completely that ESU should stand a good chance to win this game and the distance between the two teams is pretty reasonable for a pay day game. Attendance wise it'll probably look like a PSAC type game around 2000-3000 if the weather is good.

Hahahahaha I would think since Wagner is getting a 6 figure pay day from their annual FBS game they'd at least give ESU 25k for the game. Traveling wise it won't cost ESU more than a few thousand bucks for 2 team buses and meals for the team and staff.

Montana is playing at South Dakota that weekend, and they're playing in Macomb on September 18, 2018 instead. Our game out at Montana in 2021 remains on their schedule as well.

EDIT - Wait just a second, we had Montana on the schedule for 8/31/19 and now there's North Alabama on 8/29/19? I'm going to have to look into this and get back to y'all.

Southern Utah - September 17, 2022 (at Macomb) and September 9, 2023 (at Cedar City)

Couple of great OOC additions. I've got some friends who went to UNA and were in their marching band maybe 15 or so years ago, so I might have to see about heading down for that one.

TAMU makes millions off of bonus home games without a return and they get a relatively easy game. Visiting schools are helped by the cash payout. Win/win....

Seriously? 0730 - 1630 (believe the time above was a mistake) for classes, mandatory study from 1930-2230 isn't enough time? Personally I think the routine is a better enabler for success that leaving it up to the individual. Some people do just fine left to their own. For others, its the first time they've been out of the house, and they can't budget their time, they can't function without the structure they had in their homes, and they end up doing poorly, flunking, taking 5+ years to graduate, etc.

Lehigh's Junior year mechanical engineering curriculum was a meat grinder. We were taking the equivalent of 25+ credits, we just weren't getting credit for all of it. 3 hours of sleep a night and a couple of hours on Saturday for a football game was a luxury. Those who didn't budget their time failed. Those that chose drugs to regulate awake and sleep time did great the first semester, but eventually crashed and failed.

Hahahahaha I would think since Wagner is getting a 6 figure pay day from their annual FBS game they'd at least give ESU 25k for the game. Traveling wise it won't cost ESU more than a few thousand bucks for 2 team buses and meals for the team and staff.

Traveling to Staten Island is probably a shorter trip for East Stroudsburg than traveling to some of the PSAC East schools, much less the 1-2 PSAC West crossover games ESU has to play every year.

Ole Miss. I am so envious. Attending a tailgate af the Grove is on my bucket list. It’s the stuff of legends.

ACU has a future game with Miss State which A. Should be a much harder game to win given The problems and likely sanctions facing Ole Miss and more importantly B. Does not have the reputation of Ole Miss for pre game festivities/atmosphere. I’ve been there before and concluded Starkville is a very appropriate name for the town that houses the university.

1) No EWU in 2019? I thought we were conference rivals and play every year?

2) With the two FBS games each season it will be interesting to see if you guys have any better luck in luring an FCS OOC team to Moscow than we have been to Cheney. UNC, SUU, Weber, and SAC have all been able to schedule games with the SLC but that's tough when the SLC only has two OOC games/year. The MVFC is ready and willing but many of those teams are already spoken for with home and homes against Montana, EWU, MSU, and elsewhere. Your attendance is similar to EWU's so based on the gate, you don't have a huge amount to pay teams to come in. Perhaps you have some well healed donors or enough in the kitty to up the ante? DII's wouldn't be the worst thing considering the strength of the rest of the schedule except you'll have to do well in conference to get to 6 DI wins or better. Either that or it's one-off road games against FCS needing to fill dates.

Southern Utah has replaced UNI with Oregon State on Sept 8th.

Supposedly they’ve pushed the game to 2019 and not totally replaced it. But yeah. Our schedule is set outside of that.

I'd still go there if Lehigh would every schedule Duquesne! A series with the Dukes has always intrigued me. More so than any other NEC team...
