There is a very hot rumor that Jared Johnson will transfer from SHSU. Nothing official, yet. He has already graduated, so he doesn't have to sit out a year. He may end up at Tulane with HC Willie Fritz, who recruited him to Sam. He never really fit the Keeler/Longo system anyway.

Former McNeese QB Coach Slade Nagle, who's very familiar with JJ's work is at Tulane. That might be a good fit! ;)

You got me on this one. I was totally expecting to hear about some former 4 star 3rd string QB at Ohio St or Alabama who was planning to transfer to SHSU after seeing the thread title.

With him having a real high draft talent he should head to a big program to really show case himself....

I appreciate JJs time here but IMO it's no huge loss. Theres a good chance he would have been 3rd on the depth chart anyway.

Keeler's offense is not a good fit for him. I thought he did as well as could be expected.

Best of luck to him but I am glad to see him out of the conference. IMO he was the most dangerous QB in the stable at SHSU.
