Interesting schedule

Comparing Portland State's football schedule with others in the Big Sky, an interesting quirk is that 5 conference opponents (Southern Utah, Weber State, Cal Poly, UC Davis and Sacramento State) will be coming off bye weeks before facing the Vikings. I guess everyone in the conference needs an extra week to prepare for BarnyBall.

This happens from time-to-time. Happened in the SEC a couple years ago. Every team that Alabama played in conference had a bye the previous week.

Last year was that year for us. Five of our first six opponents had the week off before they played us. The only exception was West Virginia ... who didn't need it.
