a very good game tonight. Bryant Gumbel is an atrocious play-by-play guy.
Morten Andersen sets an NFL record and they are too busy showing a replay. Gumbel called the play clock the shot clock. The Falcons line Vick up as a RB with Schaub at QB and they are too busy showing Dick Vermiel's Super Bowl highlights and missed the entire play. :bang: :bang: :bang:

I think they are actually destroying Sunday afternoons.
I'm cool with moving a good game to Sunday night with the "flex schedule", but taking Seattle/SF and especially Atlanta/Dallas leaves tomorrow's games really bad, with only one game between teams with winning records occurring during the game, and that's 7-6 Eagles vs. 7-6 Giants.
What a cruddy schedule.

What record did Anderson get tonight?

A) Anderson has the most career points scored passing the other Andersen
b) If you said only afternoon games, you're right. Chiefs-Chargers match teams tomorrow night with winning records

I don't know if it was my tv, cable provider, or the network... but it seemed any time the camera changed it blacked out for a full second... or would zoom out and show footage from a few seconds earlier... very frustrating. And the announcer sounded like he needed a glass of water all night.. almost had to mute him.

This NFL Network thing is a COMPLETE trainwreck from A to Z. : smh :

Michael Vick is the worst QB in the NFL. I don't want to here how he had 4 TD's, they were all 1 yard passes to the fullback. I can't stand the Cowgirls, but they have a legitimate shot to go to the Super Bowl. MY pick Bears over the Bengals.

Bryant Gumbel does take it in the A though. How about Vermeil? Did he die on the air? He wasn't arond after the second quarter.

Bryant Gumbel was clueless 25 years ago during his first time around with calling NFL games and studio hosting. He tanked as host on the morning show program, then his own cable tv show and now back with the NFL. Just go away, Gumbel.

I remember him saying 3 minute warning...
Brother Greg is much better, I enjoyed his Vikings-Jets call on Sunday, despite the outcome.

Bryant Gumbel is a joke. Must be the NFL keeping affirmative action groups off their backs by putting this guy on the air, he's a known racist to boot. Well I guess if ESPN keeps Michael Irvin.....

You must have been watching a different game than me...because I don't think Ashley Lelie and Michael Jenkins are Fullbacks. He also completed 66% of his passes in the game...he does pretty well when his receivers, you know, actually catch the ball, and his line actually blocks.
Bryant Gumbel sucks, BTW...he sounds like someone has his nuts in a vice. I don't see how he keeps getting work.

michael irvin makes NFL Countdown!!!
Which is proof that football shows on ESPN aren't worth the airwaves they occupy!

The guy is a moron, and offers little in the way of actual knowledge of the game. I feel dumber everytime I watch him.
On top of that, the guy has a known drug problem...but since he is who he is...he can keep his job.

Games on NFL are unwatchable with Mumble Gumble calling the plays. It is the worst I have ever seen of heard. I watched the womens volleyball championships(had never seen a match/game/or whatever they call it, before) and really enjoyed it, then switched back to NFL and had to change the channel. They need to fire his ass before The packer/viqueen game. It's not like these two teams are worth watching for the play, and he will just kill it:twocents:
