LORMAN, Miss — Brave fans are invited to get a glimpse of the 2016 Alcorn State University football team at their annual Spring game Saturday, April 23. The event will begin at 2 p.m. in the Casem-Spinks*Stadium. Admission is free and open to the public.*The scrimmage is the climax of the Braves' spring practice season.*First-year head coach Fred McNair will hold 10 practices and four scrimmages over the next five weeks.Alcorn returns 11 starters from the 2015 squad, including passer LENORRIS FOOTMAN, SWAC newcomer of the year Marquise Warford and SWAC first team offensive lineman DETONIO DADE. The Braves will have 87 players in spring practice.Alcorn's 2016 schedule features five home games, all versus SWAC opponents Alabama State University, University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Texas Southern University, Southern University and Jackson State University.*Season tickets are currently on sale, and can be purchased*at*ticketmaster. The ticket office will be open during the spring game.
