Mount Union (OH) vs. UW-Whitewater
Whitewater just kicked a field goal to take the lead. 1st time Mt. Union has trailed all year.

Mike Gotfried actually talked about how great this playoff is! Kind of sad the DII & DIII get soooooo much better coverage then I-AA : smh :
Mount Union just went up 21-13.

I hear ya, wish we could get the same. It's great to listen to, that's for sure.
Both the II and this III game have been stellar so far. :rotateh:

36-19 Mt. Union. This one really hurts because i'm from Wisconsin.
But big congrats to Mt. Union for playing excellent, and congrats again to repeating!

Congrats Purple Raiders!:hurray: Ninth title for Coach Kehres and Mt Union since 1993 (’93, ’96, ’97, ’98, ’00, ’01, ’02, ’05, ’06). I played for Mount one year back in '89 & was on the JV team and can tell you Larry Kehres is a great coach and even a better person. I mean the guy has lost a total of 20 games in his 21 years as HC. That's incredible no matter what level
Since I currently live 15 min. from their campus I have followed the team since I left there (transfered to YSU) and still go to their games when not at Michigan or YSU games. It's amazing the little dynasty that exists here in Alliance, Ohio and what they have accomplished in the last 17 years.

Gottfried and Ward are such superior announcers. Gottfried coached at the I-AA level (Murray St. I believe) so he appreciates what is accomplished. And Ward does her homework.

I like Gottfried, but he seems to be getting a little slow when speaking and slurring words. I wonder if he had a stroke or something? He used to do a lot of the big games for ESPN but his workload has tapered off the last couple of years

I noticed the same thing. They used have him do the Saturday primetime game w/Ron Franklin & they were by far the best announcing team.
