I thought the Van Ginkel kid from USD transferred.
Yes to Iowa Western. I forgot to take him out but it is fixed now.
This spring so many players are going to be transferring so there could be more of that possibly. We are going to see less FCS players drafted each year over the next few years, at the very least, because many like him are going to transfer to a JC and then FBS or straight to FBS and sit out if they aren't a graduate transfer. Losing him is a huge hit to the FCS level. Hopefully Kade Harrington and some of the others aren't going to graduate and leave abruptly after the spring.

How much of him transferring is because of where he went out of HS?
I have a hard time seeing a kid leave UNI , NDSU or even SDSU that had that kind of freshman year because of how many guys they put into NFL camps and rosters

More and more kids who dominate at the FCS level early are seeing they can go JC or sit out a year and have a shot to play at a high level. That combined with so many more schools in FBS now and you will see a decrease in FCS players drafted, on average.
Not to mention look at some of the names on this list who would be at a SEC, Big Ten or ACC school right now if not for being dismissed or failing grades. Javarius Leamon, LaMichael Fanning, Ebenezer Ogundeko, Leroy Alexander, and now Finkel is gone. If not for those guys having to drop down then this strong preseason list would be a little thin in some spots.

We need to adjust the filters on here to allow the Duquesne LB's name!

Don't disagree, but are the players that are leaving leaving top programs that actually put players into the NFL?
Vernon Adams left a good program, but I'm not sure how much he actually helped himself vs staying at EWU and putting up nearly 6K yards - I'll defer to you on that one.
Prokup leaving MSU is continuing that alarming trend, but MSU isn't a program that has a culture like UNI, NDSU, Montana.
I agree with you, but I'm wondering the kids leaving would leave if they were at NDSU/UNI/Montana/etc... dominating, not at schools that are like Montana State, South Dakota, Fordham, etc...?
It's why programs like UNI/NDSU/Montana don't take the cast offs you speak of - like Spence.

I think with all the draftniks and poor advisers entering the game you may see more of that. If Wentz had another year of eligibility and graduated I would bet 100 people would tell him to move up and don't leave the "level of "competition question" up for debate.
I don't think moving up mattered much for Vernon Adams and some others whose height or something else may always hold them back no matter what but it can help a lot because now instead of scouts struggling to find 2-3 games against top competition to judge a player on they would now have 9 or 10 or more to judge them on in a season.

Kyle Lauletta has to be a strong HM at QB. It's hard to put him above or below Jenkins because they are so different. Jenkins is a dual threat where Lauletta is pocket passer. Haven't seen much of Case, but if he's this high up this young, that's impressive.

P Chris Fraser, Cornell, Sr.
Fraser is a good punter.
Of course, Cornell is usually pinned far back in their own territory on fourth down, Fraser has had plenty of opportunities to boom the hell out of the ball to his heart's content.

Word on the means streets of Radnor Township, Pa. are that Tanoh Kpassagnon DE is an intriguing NFL prospect.
At 6'7" 285lbs. and running 4.7 40 times have NFL scouts coming to the Main Line in large numbers. He also an excellent student in the tough Villanova B-School!
He continues to improve his skills and you are looking at a day 1 late draft pick.

Don't get ahead of yourself. He has a long way to go to be a day 1 draft pick. I don't see him as a 1st round pick right now. lol
He is going to get looks for sure. I could see that back in 2014 and he certainly kept getting better. We will see how it goes. I would put him more as a late round to PFA type pick right now who could maybe work his way into 3rd-5th round range simply because of length and size but still needs to get a lot better as a football player. With his ability he should have 20 sacks in the CAA and still has yet to do that yet. I love his potential but I just need to see him produce more this year before I'm on board with the hype.

I just hope we continue to improve. We've gotten considerably better every year since we dumped Cap'n Jack. Hopefully the trend continues.

No doubt....but that doesn't garner a #1 seed regardless of record. You guys will beat Coastal and could hope for rain like McNeese against LSU (unless you pull the same magic against them like Auburn). I would guess you are a 1-2 loss team....if 1 loss, you will inevitably be over seeded in the postseason, and the rest of the story will write itself. xthumbsupx

Perhaps. I too think we can take Coastal and if we come in with a good plan like we did with Auburn hopefully we can hang around with LSU (plan: stop Fournettexnodx)Hopefully the guys took a lot from last year's run and can put it toward preparing for the NC game.

If they all stay healthy one of Shafnisky, Bragalone or Pelletier will make a season ending All-American team. Not saying 1st team but at least 3rd team. The offense is going to among the very best in FCS.

My bad. I forgot they changed the draft. I was thinking late 2nd round pick with improvement, but can't argue your reasoning.
NFL scouts have been giving good reports on him from what I've heard. 6'7" 285lbs with speed & brains is a good start. He came to Villanova with limited football background.
20 sacks would be great. Nova plays a 3-3-5 and he will be counted on heavily in pass rush this season!
