... after 31 long years. However, the "new queens of the court" such as UConn, Notre Dame, South Carolina, etc. have had their places locked in for the past several years.

Unbelievable that it would go on for 31 years. That is a heck of an accomplishment.

After witnessing Tennessee use 6 players against my team and beat us like rag dolls, I was pretty sure we'd see them have a great year. WTF happened to the Vols?

Pat Summit is no longer the coach. That's what happened. Gradual but inevitable decline. Not unlike UCLA post-Wooden.
The Vols might not even qualify for the NCAA tourney this year. Women's NIT has to be excited about the prospect of the Vols playing for them.
