YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -
A Youngstown State University football player is out of Mahoning County jail on bond after being arrested for a fight at a fraternity party.
According to a Youngstown Police report, Eric Thompson, 21, turned himself in at the police station Monday morning for felonious assault, a second degree felony.
Thompson allegedly broke a man's nose in two places during a brawl at a Feb. 7 fraternity party on Park Avenue, according to police reports.
Thompson, who was a cornerback for the YSU Penguins for the 2015 football season, had a video arraignment Monday at 1:30.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 11.
Wasn't a starter but has saw a lot of action for YSU his first three years.
Let's see how YSU handles this felony charge.
Note to any YSU poster that sees this - I wasn't searching this type of thing out. I googled YSU football for something else and this is what came up.
