They say Jerry Moore may retire soon so not many bites from bigger programs. Edwards supposedly garnered a slight interest from S.C. and Clemson but chose App b/c those school didn't offer early.

What a break for App State!!! Hope you enjoy and appreciate what you have in Edwards. Hard to believe a program getting another one like him.

He has said he has had a lot of interest over the years from bigger schools, but loves where hes at and the tradition here so doesnt want to leave.

I heard that the reason Edwards didnt want to go to Clemson or SC was because they weren't going to give him a shot to play QB. He was recruited as an athlete (much like he was at App), but he didnt like the idea of not having a chance at QB whereas App told him he may have the opportunity.

Jerry and his family are very much a part of the community involved in a local church etc... He is in his sixties and has turned down offers in the past... He probably has no more than about 5 years left max so he wont be going anywhere Thank Goodness!
