Rather than posting individual classes that nobody has the time to read through. Maybe we can post 1 athlete that signed that you are most excited about or is most talented. A player the rest of us may know pretty well going forward?
UNH got a kid that turned down some decent FBS offers. I think he could be a stud RB at this level but they want to use him at LB. He is probably the best talent to sign yesterday, if not its Evan horn.

I'm going to say our new kicker. Patrick Ponder.
Watch this clip on hudl as he kicks it at the 8 yard line and it hits at the other 20 and rolls into the end zone.
Exciting to know we have a kicker that will flip the field on opponents when we get in trouble.

I know we probably have some better recruits than this player, but for some reason, watching his highlights, this little waterbug runningback has peaked my interest. Sort of reminds me of that little guy running around in the NFL wearing number 43. :)

I'd say for NDSU it would be Jabril Cox, a 6'3" 218 LB out of Raytown, Missouri. He played QB and LB in high school and his highlights are mostly at QB but NDSU is projecting him as a linebacker. His senior year he threw for 2000+ and ran for 1000+. He just seems to be a freak athlete in the mold of current NDSU MLB Nick Deluca (who'll be one of the favorites for national DPOY this year). I'm really excited to see the type of player he can become under NDSU's S&C program with the size and athleticism he already has:

Furman has two guys that really jump off the page, I think:
(1) S Jordan Willis out of Nease High School in Jacksonville (http://furmanpaladins.com/sports/m-footbl/2015-16/bios/willis_jordan_y2x4). Offers from Cincinnati, App, Utah, Temple, Troy, and others.
(2) OL Tim Coleman out of Pace Academy in Atlanta (http://furmanpaladins.com/sports/m-footbl/2015-16/bios/coleman_tim_fnbr). Coleman is a consensus 3 star player at 6'4 284 lbs. Some commented that he might be the highest rated offensive line recruit Furman has ever landed.

Southeastern Louisiana has several, but I'll list five of my favorites ...
Jacq'Co Price, 6-2, 175, WR, Crowley HS, La. 247 3-star, original Tulane commit. One of the rare FBS to FCS flips. Had several FBS schools tried to flip him from us late.

Abilene Christian had two legit 3 star recruits- OT Emoree Giddens http://247sports.com/Player/Emoree-Giddens-81264 and WR Donnel Dunn http://247sports.com/Player/Donell-Dunn-77453. Giddens will probably redshirt. Dunn will get playing time because most of our receivers graduated.
But my vote for most impressive recruit goes to 2 star WR DeShun Qualls from the Houston area. Elusive jitterbug. 10 Touchdowns and 750 plus yards in ONE game. And this isn't at some rural backwater school with a couple hundred students. Jersey City is a 6A (the largest schools in Texas) high school.

Deunte Chatman visited the Lafayette college campus Wednesday and loved it.He had a chance to meet Mr .Borger ,one of the biggest donors at Lafayette and he was a very cool gentleman
2016 athlete Deunte Chatman was offered by Lafayette College on 8/12/2015 and plans on doing a verbal commit this month. www.hudl.com/athlete/1280931/highlights/259671382/v2 (http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1280931/highlights/259671382/v2) 6'2 220lbs 4.48 40

We had a couple of guys that really look like they might stand out, but the one that impresses me the most, I think, is Mike Viti, a Safety from Camp Hill, PA. He was offered and originally verbally committed to Maryland, but when they had their coaching staff change, he took a step back. He also got some interest from Penn State. Coach Fisher had been keeping an eye on him for a while, so as soon as he became available, he got a hold of him and brought him in.

I like a lot of players in SDSU's incoming class, but probably the most prized recruit was Blair Mulholland.
Thought of by some as the best RB in Wisconsin, he ran for 2971 yards and 48 TDs on 9.6 YPC in his senior year... and yet, it sounds like SDSU is going to convert him to a LB/Nickleback hybrid.
Here are his highlights from his senior season:

Brandon Tillmon- Recruited for BOTH football and baseball, will play safety for football and is projected to play outfield for baseball.

Kids have gotten faster in recent years......there were four kids in the US who ran sub 46 s in the HS ranks this year, including one who was at 45.19...
The slowest time in the top 10 in the country was 46.4...
Still....47.8 is a VERY nice time....

Hopefully the SIU track team can get him too. 47.8 is super fast for high school.
he's a football guy who just uses track to condition--never the less, his time would have been fifth in the MVC outdoor championship last year--but doubt he'd give up Spring Ball for T&F

The Lacy kid has better than average speed, but his 10.44 was wind aided, when he was a sophomore .
See the IAAF listing from 2014.
http://www.iaaf.org/records/toplists/sprints/100-metres/outdoor/men/u18/2014
And the listing from 2015, where he's conspicuously absent.
http://www.iaaf.org/records/toplists/sprints/100-metres/outdoor/men/u18/2015
He's never come close to that 10.44 under normal conditions....His best 200 meters of 21.12 was also with a big wind last summer. There's a nice video of him talking about how he's got a slow start, but comes on late, featured on Texas Milesplit....
Slow starts aren't conducive to sub 4.4 times in the 40 yard dash...
A sub 10.5 100 translates into a 20.something 200 meters.
The fastest non-wind aided time I can find on him in the 200 is 21.8, which is more or less consistent with a 100 meter time of somewhere around 11.00 flat.
That's very decent speed, but it's not elite.
Listening to him in the TexasMileSplit videos, he sounds like a great kid, though.
It's a nice get. I'll check my sources at ULM and see why he didn't sign with them ;)

Here's his 21.12 in Abilene...which as we've mentioned in another part of the thread, is known for the wind...
In fact, you can hear the wind fairly prominently in the video ;)
Look at the banners jumping in the wind after he crosses the finish line ;)
Of course, the most telling thing about the race is that they started from the finish line so as to give the kids the benefit of the wind on the long backstretch...and you can tell it's the back stretch because the kids cross the 100 meter straightaway on the first turn and there's no straightaway on the finish...

Piper would be your fastest player, and it's not close....A 10.6 in the 100 and a sub 21.5 in the 200 meters is really nice speed...
With a 10.6, I'd bet that Piper's a legitimate 4.4....He's your speed benchmark.

When I moved back to Abilene in 2006 after 30 plus years of living in the heart of SEC country, I was really impressed by the number of really, really fast guys we had playing D2 football (Johny Knox has one of the NFL combine's fastest ever 40 times). I was convinced it must be something our S&C guy was doing to teach speed. I called him up to ask him his secret. He told me, "recruiting fast guys." Sounds like this "secret" has found its way to SFA. Those are some pretty fast times for football players.

Kurtis "Bigg" Beaman is one of our most exciting players on Defense. The kid had several FBS offers but chose JSU.
http://www.hudl.com/v/CZ6LJ
Offensively, Tyus Flakes should be very fun to watch. He tore his ACL this year (Sr yr), and Indiana was the only FBS school to keep their offer on the table; whereas, several schools pulled theirs. He went to IU on an OV and came home saying it was too far to go. JSU offered, and he accepted. The kid, when healthy, should be a huge asset.
http://www.hudl.com/v/1tYfT
Remember when JSU didn't go for it on 4th and 1 in the NCG? We didn't have our heavy package available this year, so we went and found a TE from Purdue that should be a pretty good RB in those situations. Grass' forte is to have a heavy package for the 1-3yd scores or gains... Jonathan Curry should gives that size and push we needed this past year...

That's a good get....it's impressive that he can throw well in THAT kinda wind. FBHS is less than a mile off the Laguna Madre, and Corpus gets an AVERAGE of 19 MPH winds every day....in the spring, the gusts are up to 40 mph...
That tells me this kid's got some incredible control and arm strength...
He's gonna be used to being around the water...Hopefully, Huntsvegas won't be culture shock! ;)
I grew up in Flour Bluff, so I'll definitely be paying attention to this kid....we moved to Louisiana before HS...otherwise, I woulda been a Hustlin' Hornet, too.

For the Red Flash, this QB recruit looks to be the most interesting given his senior season stats. He reportedly had offers from two MAC schools in 2015 but then had those offers dropped when both schools had coaching changes. He ended up going to prep school for 2015/16 before signing with the Flash last week. I would expect he'll redshirt behind senior QB Zack Drayer then battle 2015 recruit Andrew Koester for the starting job in 2017.

the most immediate impact will be by LB John Daka who I believe could play as a true freshman.
the longer-term recruits I'm excited to watch are: 6'5" QB Cole Johnson who is more of a pocket passer and 6'2" (I think?) DJ Daniels, who was mentored by Vad last summer and whose game is evidently similar. no idea if either QB will pan out. Johnson is rail thin and will need several years of hard work in the weight room.
Daka is going to be a star regardless.

Georgetown doesn't make it into many discussions titled "most impressive recruit" because, well, it's not a destination for a lot of recruits. If you're under a 1200/1600 on the SAT, you're not on the radar. If you can't afford a $60K price tag without need based aid, you'll go elsewhere. The talent that it can attract from the Rivals and Scout lists with those numbers were often picked off by I-A schools who understood that Georgetown didn't offer LOI's and were fair game.
This year brings an intriguing prospect to the list--QB Brock Johnson from Mission Viejo, CA. OK, it might sound like the name of Paul Heyman's latest recruit to the WWE, but Johnson was a high school senior with 41 TD's and 3,605 yards as his team went 16-0 and won the CIF AA title in 2015. He broke the records of Mark Sanchez at that school; his uncle, Rob Johnson, played with the Bills and Bucs, and his dad Bret was the QB that succeeded Troy Aikman in the lineup at at UCLA. Brock was offered a preferred walk-on spot at USC but with a 3.9 GPA took the Georgetown offer instead.
You have to go back, back, way back to recall the last Georgetown prospect with such notoriety. That would be Aley Demarest, the New Orleans product who was so dominant after two seasons for Georgetown, he transferred to Tulane and then actually won the starting job there, only to break his collarbone four games into the season. Shaun King took over, and Demarest never saw the light of day thereafter.
Georgetown needs a new starting QB next year and six men are looking to compete for it. Much too soon to tell if Johnson is up for the challenge but he's an interesting study.

Time will tell, of course, but people seem to be pretty high on this recruit of ours.
http://www.goviks.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=2600
Born on the Ivory Coast, kind of a late bloomer, but people seem to be raving about a "steal" that PSU got here.
Another kid that Coach Barnum is high on is an offensive lineman named Tommy Laverde, 6-5, 285 out of Portland's Lincoln High School where he established himself as one of the team leaders. After committing to PSU he began reaching out to other recruits through social media and established relationships.
According to Barnum.... “He was like one my coaches out there recruiting.” "He definitely helped us recruit. He’s a Portland State guy through and through, and he’s helped get all those guys bonded already. That’s the kind of guy Tommy is. The first thing that walks in the room with him is his personality.”
