Advance Ticket Sales Now Exceed 5,400 for Lehigh v. Penn State

Match is 7 p.m. on February 12 at Lehigh's Stabler Arena, capacity 5,800. Capacity has only been reached twice in Stabler's history--once for a Lafayette basketball game and the record of 5,825 against Oklahoma State for wrestling about 7 years ago. Possible we could see 6,000 with seating allowed on the floor around the western side of the mat. With a lot of PSU alums in the Lehigh Valley, the crowd should be electric.

It would fun to attend this match. Penn State is stacked this year. Sanderson has a machine going right now. Lehigh is a very good team, I have watched them twice this season on cable.

Penn State just curb stomped #10 Michigan and they have 4 wrestlers ranked #1.

Iowa might give Penn State a run but we will never know because they do not face each other this year in a dual. Iowa (IIRC) has a wrestler ranked in every weight class and I think Penn State has a couple of guys not ranked (184 and Hwt).

I hope Lehigh pulls it out.

Confirmed this past weekend that Stabler Arena is a complete sell out. Only additional SRO (that's Seating on the floor west of the mat Room Only) student ID's will be admitted. Stabler holds 5800 armchairs and bench seats. Record is 5828 versus Oklahoma State in 2007. Match will be streamed through Lehigh website: www.lehighsports.com Click on tab for sports, go to wrestling click and schedule should come up with camera icon.

Should be a great event! It's going to be brutally sold on Saturday! No better way to stay warm than getting rowdy at a sold out Stabler!
