Mountain Hawks won 6 of 10 in a packed SRO Friedman Center in Ithaca. A few hundred Lehigh supports were stranded at home due to the record setting snow storm, but go to watch on the internet. Lehigh winners were:
125 Darien Cruz over Macri 12-3
133 Beckman won by forfeit
141 Randy Cruz won over Grey 4-0
149 Gardner won over Galasso 8-7
184 Nathaniel Brown won by Tech Fall over Chavez, 16-0
285 Wessel won over Sweeney 14-6
Cornell stars Garrett(133) and Dean(184) did not wrestle due to injury and illness. Lehigh star Minotti (157) did not wrestle due to injury. Lehigh now has inside track to represent the EIWA in the NWCA Big Ten Challenge come
February 21-22.

I have watched Lehigh twice this year and they are a good team.
Just watched Penn State (#1) beat Illinois....nice having BTN for this. Penn State is stacked this year.

What make us a good dual team is that for the first time in a long time we have depth. This time of year everyone is banged up and Cornell had to forfeit a weight--hard to believe they couldn't run anyone out at 133.
Yes, the "Nits" are an imposing lineup. I almost feel like they should be investigated for "PHDs"--just kidding. We face them on February 12. As of now, I see us favored in only three. Three of our 'underdogs' thought I think are capable of pulling off upsets. The others we need to avoid giving up bonus points.

The NCWA "national duals" this year is "The Big Ten Challenge" with the top Big Ten team playing the highest ranked non-Big Ten team, and then working down the rankings for the top 16 teams (8 matches). Had we lost to Cornell we likely would not have been invited, and would have gone to Harvard. But it would appear that we will be wrestling Ohio State in Columbus.
