You can get college hoops tickets cheap if you're willing to plan ahead and see a lesser opponent. I bought a 'Cuse-Cornell ticket for $7 about 10 days ago. I was able to nab two Michigan State-Rutgers tickets for a game in East Lansing for $25 a pop. My friend and I are going to see the Cavs-Pistons on Friday night in Auburn Hills and then MSU-Rutgers on Sunday the weekend before the Super Bowl.
I went to three 'Cuse conference games (Wake Forest, BC and Virginia) last year and never paid more than $9. 10-15 years when I had to get them through the ticket office they were always $15-$25...
Stub Hub is awesome. I went to the Eagles-Lions Thanksgiving Day game for $47. The seats were great!

is this game being played when the students are on break between semesters?
some college bball programs offer cheap tix to compensate for the student attendance taking a hit in those games.

Given that Monmouth just destroyed G'Town, prices might have made sense

These things happen when you hire a coach based on what his daddy did.

Accurate statement
He was OK at Princeton but that Pete Carrill offense is much better suited for the Ivy League and not either iteration of the Big East.
As for the game, it was a disaster and there were a ton of empty seats. I was telling my friends how much I miss good Georgetown.

Isn't Monmouth the school with the kids on the bench that enjoy themselves?

Yeah, they were having a blast. It just happened to be on at the bar we were at last night. It was way more interesting than the game.
