This. I honestly hate UNI. In my opinion they are NDSU's biggest rival, more so than SDSU or UND. I feel this way in football at least. But at the same time this hate comes from respect. They are the only team I am ever nervous to play and that's because they play with great execution and drive all the time. They have a great tradition at UNI

It probably helps that we don't get in the way of your playoff seeding, runs, etc. But then again, no one really does.

More so because you guys actually beat us or at least play us to the wire... On the other hand, SDSU is a résumé booster, they always play well against everyone else but we just never seem to lose to them ;)

I think with a real QB UNI probably beats NDSU. Good for us they have a good P5 RB that can throw as a QB. Also what happened to all the offense the new OC put in? Did Farley force him to change?

Agreed. I just hope if both UNI and NDSU are top notch teams next year that each team wins enough games to be put in opposite sides of the bracket. Today felt like a semi-final or championship game much more than a quarter final game.

I wouldn't bet against them in the playoffs. But I was saying that at the beginning of the year. That being said, I won't be terribly surprised if they lose one this year.

New found respect for the Panthers... Tim Kilfoy does an excellent job of explaining the Bison/Panther dynamic... it's not hatred, rather it's respect from both teams knowing the other one could beat them.

Bailey is not good? 1300 yard rusher and as a team UNI broke their all time rushing total for a season. Yes, his passing is not the greatest but give the NDSU defense its due. They played a great game against a very good team.

I did forget to congratulate UNI in this thread. I really wish they'd of been on the other side of the bracket. Would have been fun to see what they could have done with that lot.

I agree with a lot of what Farley had to say. UNI has nothing to hang their heads about. This wasn't a choke job or them laying an egg, they played admirably but in a tough environment against a team who is clicking on all cylinders on defense and especially special teams. There's no shame in coming up short against that. Good game and good season Panthers, see you in Cedar Falls next year.
