The problem for just about every FCS team is nothing comes close to prepare you for it. Delaware's atmosphere use to be the test for Lehigh in the playoffs and in OOC. Likewise for most of the CAA. Even the Tub in its heyday didn't come close.

It absolutely does. Even for sightlines and depth perspective. The MVFC has 3 times to prepare you for that. Obviously NDSU and then UNI present the noise factor. The Big Sky is the only other league that has unique and intimidating venues.

The CAA in general is filled with pretty mundane homefield advantages. UNH arguably has the best in the league and they get about 9k per game...

Good point. But wouldn't some of that be the advantage the Dline has off the edge because the OL has to use a silent count? I tend to remember a prominent safety by our DT in a recent game

The team is definitely part of it as well, but we are kidding ourselves if we don't think the home crowd doesn't play a factor against an opposing offense. You can't prepare for it if you've never played here....its different.

That's not the way Richmond wanted to take the crowd out of the game, but it works for me. Don't think that the crowd will be bringing their A game to the second half unless something riles them up (e.g. phantom whistle.)

Maybe you should bring this up with your conference mates. We hardly smoked teams last year. Took 2 last minute drives to win it all last year and there is still a game to play yet.

I agree one or even two (like DIII) teams dominating for a long time isn't good for the Division. But...that isn't really on them is it? Isn't that on everyone else? Or...at least the top 20-30 should try to elevate to parity in my opinion.

I'm not sure why you want to watch two bad teams just to keep the score close. That's the real embarrassment. Also NDSU lost twice and could of lost 4 games this year because they play against really good teams in MVFC. The CAA needs to step up their game like they used to be and then we would have great games with great teams.
