From what I've read, U of H has sold less than 2,000 tickets for the Liberty Bowl. South Carolina has sold some where between 15-17,000 and many USC alums who can't make the trip are buying tickets for active duty military stationed in Memphis.
This game represents the return of Houston football after years of rebuilding. The fans should be more interested IMO. What's going on?

They're talking about how sad it is that they have this few tickets sold on atleast one post...

UH has the typical commuter-school problem with selling tickets. When I was in HS there, the Cougars played in the Astrodome and never sold out unless Texas was in town. And then the burnt orange in the stands outnumbered the red.

You know, I thought things were going to change some. Seemed like there was a renewed interest in Cougar football as they sold out the C-USA Championship Game at Robertson Stadium...
Apparently, those strides we were all reading into and that the media hyped up (which shocked the Cougar fans who think the media is anti-Cougar) were all for not.
Cougar fans are generally upset they are in the C-USA and not in the Big XII or SEC. There are atleast two comparable institutions in the SLC that think they are too good for the conference, thinking they have a higher calling...
