The #5 overall pick in this years NHL entry draft, Phil Kessel of the Boston Bruins has been diagnosed with Testicular Cancer according to reports from Boston's WBZ4.
According to the Boston Herald, it is highly treatable when caught early and prominent survivors include 7 time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong, and Boston Red Sox third baseman Mike Lowell.
Last summer Sox rookie Jon Lester was sidelined while battling cancer, he recently got word that he can take his last chemo session and has already begun to throw the baseball again and will report to spring training in February.
