After a young Villanova team battled through injuries during the season to finish the year strong and post a winning record for the 13th time in the last 15 years, the Wildcats were rewarded on Tuesday afternoon with two major award winners and a total of eight players named to the CAA Football All-Conference Teams. Redshirt freshman quarterback Zach Bednarczyk (Wallington, N.J.) was voted by league head coaches as the Co-Offensive Rookie of the Year and senior offensive lineman Jake Prus (Woodstown, N.J.) was selected as the Chuck Boone Leadership Award winner. The conference announced its postseason awards following the conclusion of regular season play last weekend. All-Conference honorees and individual award winners are voted on by CAA Football head coaches, while the league's athletic directors select the Chuck Boone Leadership Award recipient.
