So now that Cannon is out, the question is, can Austin Peay find a legitimate charismatic coach to come in and turn it all around-
1. Facilities- went from worst in the conference to at least third/fourth in a year-
2. Location- Clarksville is a nice city, and it has been growing for the past several years- close to Nashville as well
3. Recruiting- very good pool of talent in the mid-state, can they get the guys from Clarksville and Nashville to stay home at the Peay
The current problem is that they do not have the players to compete, even in the lower end of the OVC, how fast can someone turn it around; are they a sleeping giant or are they stuck in the rut left by non-scholarship football for the near future.........thoughts

They've got a great up and coming AD. Ryan Ivey....we were sad to see him leave when he was an Assistant AD at McNeese...

He sure got a baptism of fire when he first got there, though!

Hire the right guy and the turn a round will come quick. Not to championship level but to a solid level. If you can get to 6-5 in two or three years the program could then continue to grow. If anyone can win at UTM you can win at any location. UTM has to fight with probably the least amount of ammunition of any university in America and they are doing OK.

Martin is harder to get to than Thibodaux(sp?) and less close by athletes.
