Heck of an early season test for the Mountain Hawks. Gophers, to me are a lot stronger than their #16 ranking. Not sure if Beckman will be wrestling for Lehigh, and there may be a switch at 174 with Riddick moving into the slot as Haas moves up to challenge at 197.

I heard that Iowa and OK State were grappling at Kinnick Stadium this afternoon. I'm watching the Gophers at Hawkeyes football game right now but I never heard how it turned out or how many people showed up.

Gophers are really young this year. They will take some lumps this year but by the end of the year they will be a good dual team.

I read that the attendance was over 42,000 and I think Iowa won by a couple points. Hope they had portable heaters for the team benches!

Not sure what it was in Iowa City, but it was in the mid 50s and sunny in Mankato at the football game yesterday. I didn't wear gloves, just a hoodie and tennis shoes and was plenty comfortable.

Lehigh split with Gophers and Cornhuskers, beating Minnesota, 22-12 in the first match and losing to Nebraska 24-6 in the second. Four of Lehigh's losses in the Nebraska match were either by 1-2 points and two in OT, so the team score appears more lopsided than reality. The only real concern is the double loss by Mason Beckman, two-time all-american. There must be something wrong with him, mentally or physically, as he does not appear to have his usual intensity. Team will now return Grace Hall next weekend to host Pittsburgh on Friday night and Edinboro on Sunday afternoon.
