View Full Version : HOF--who else besides Griffey?

Griffey is a shoe-in, but there are some guys who are running out of time, i.e. Trammell, who I always thought was one of the best at his position for his era. In NYC he'd be enshrined already. Bagwell, might be the other to squeak in, but the rest of the field is somewhat unexciting.

I agree about Trammel.

There's the whole Pete Rose argument.

Tim Raines is a HOFer.

Rock Raines was a beast in RBI Baseball on the NES, haha. He was about the only thing watchable about the Expos in the 80's, they constantly underachieved. They were supposed to be the team of the decade, but they could never put together both halves of a season. Either they were hot in the beginning and faded after the break or started too slow and couldn't recover down the stretch.

If Trammel is in, so is Whitaker.

Might as well add this here.... should the ban be lifted on Pete Rose? At least to let him into the hall?

Forgot about Raines. Yes, I would agree he is worthy. Playing for mediocre teams in a career is a burden.

How can you put Tim Raines in the HOF and not Dale Murphy? When was Tim back to back NL MVP?

Don't compare player 1 to player 2, the above stats alone speak for themselves.

Piazza - Went from 57.8% to 62.2% to 69.9% last year. Should be in the 70s this year - the question is how close he gets.

I can see him getting in and probably deserving. If Jim Rice gets in you really are opening the doors to make it the Hall of had a few good years.
