Even with the 20 tackles this past week, NDSU MLB Nick Deluca won't put up the stats this year for the Buchanan....that being said, he is only a junior and is a guy to watch for the award next season.

How close is Lehigh's Dominic Bragalone to getting some attention? He's putting together a damn good freshman season....

Not bad at all. I just need another guy on the top 20 to remove. I made 3 changes and only 2 of them were really easy to make. Because I have removed so many it is now getting harder to remove someone. My goal is to get the top 20 so if he has a couple big games I will bump him up.

I would have taken huesman out a few weeks back. Its strange to do it this week however, after he was unreal. The timing on Isaiah Mack was strange as well, not sure he ever deserved top 5 freshman status but you dropped him out of that after a 10 tackle, 2.5 tfl, FF, FR performance .

Jacob Huesman is in the Dropped List and also in the Others list. Not arguing he needs to be there (numbers aren't there this year) but he needs to be pulled from both lists. Of course if you do pull him, he will throw for 7 TD in the next two games!!!! Please Pull Him!!!!! haha.

It is odd that you put that the W&M safety has returned an INT for TD, but don't mention that Deiondre Hall has returned two of his 4 for TDs.

Not arguing the order just saying if you mention it for one DB should probably mention the amount of TDs for all of them.

It was not as much about them as it was someone else moving ahead of them. Look at the top 5 freshman now. All of them except Brown could be on the preseason OFF and POY list for STATS.

Remember, I always stress man up and man down meaning I have to have someone I am sold on to move up in there at that point to put them in. I wanted to make sure that I felt good about others.

I only left Huesman so long because of his name but he certainly hasn't had a season worthy of mention for a while now. I want to put Craine in there but he just won't break out and have several 100-yard and 1-2 TD games in row so I can safely put him in without having to worry about remove him.

Typo. I have put it in there now. All of the typos should be fixed now. (I hope)

I am only leaving him because he had a solid game this week. If he had put up like 140 yards and a INT then I would have removed him from the others list.

Corrected it. I went through this stuff fast so I was bound to have a typo. Thanks!

No problem. xthumbsupx

I just noticed that typo because I was thinking, "Wait, he has a 197 efficiency rating but he's under 50% completions?"

Yes that would be a red flag lol. Glad you double checked. Hopefully now there are no more errors.

Just watched the JMU game where Vad Lee got hurt. It is a shame he went down because he is the best offensive player in the country. Kupp is very close but Lee is the man who deserves the Payton. It would have been between Kupp and Lee if not for the injury. I now think Kupp is going to run away with the award unless Harrington can put up a couple 200-yard, 3 TD type games to make it a tight race.

My father was teammates with Cooper Kupp's Grandfather in the late 60s and in a visit out to the NW this summer, was able to meet the younger one. My Pops is a pretty good judge of character and he said as impressive of a football player as he is, he is equally as impressive as a person. It's nice to see the good guys be successful.....see you don't have to be a thug to be a baller!!!!

I went ahead and expanded the lists to 25. I put a couple players back on since I barely took them off and would have left them if the list had been 25 already. There should not be many more changes this year. I would expect maybe 1 per award, 2 at most.

In NDSU's Tampa 2/4-3 defense, it will be a shade difficult for DeLuca to pad the TFL and sack stats that a guy like Emanuel got at DE....hopefully he can nab a few more INTs to add to his tackle stats for his complete resume.

I think he will definitely have a shot next year. I would imagine he is going to get All-America honors and 1st team All-MVFC this year so he will definitely have his name in the mix.

Interested in your thoughts on Cole Langer, SDSU Defensive Tackle.

His position probably won't afford him the stats needed to make this list, but more wondering if there is any buzz about him in the NFL scouting circles? Especially considering his football lineage.

Have not heard any buzz but still early. A lot of players who were off the radar heading into the year don't pop up until November, December, or January. Especially those from small schools.

Chase Allen 3rd/4th in tackles in MVFC and 12-13 nationally 89 tackles (11.1)---Junior LB in 8 games

Markese Jackson 5th in tackles in MVFC and 25 nationally 70 tackles (10.0 per game)---Sophomore LB in just seven games

With LBs and DBs I'm looking for more than just tackles. Looking for forced turnovers, TFLs, sacks, PBUs, etc. I did almost add James though.

This is incorrect. He is probable against Gardner-Webb this Saturday. It's in the first 30 seconds of Joe Moglia's press conference: http://www.goccusports.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/110415aaa.html

I had taken it out of the 2nd post when I updated the list. It looked initially he would be done for the year but I indeed here he is suppose to play. Still have to wonder how close to 100% he will be. That was a nasty hit.
