I watched Flip play for the Gophers on some of their best teams. My cousin Jay, who played at Eastern Washington, played for Flip in junior college at Golden Valley (MN). He thought that Flip was a great guy.

I was watching Sportscenter Saturday night and at the close one of the anchors threw out a prayer request for him. I guess they knew he was near the end.

Sad to hear. As I get older, I realize that 60 is too young to go.
