With the shocking news that Coach O'Brien is leaving BC to take over NC State, Doug Flutie has been mentioned as the possible new head coach.

Earlier this week Bernie Kosar who faced Flutie in the classic 1984 Miani vs BC game said he was interested in the Miami job.

One big play + a Heisman + Years of being a quality pro + being a massive influence on the program and the alumni = an offer. Not saying it is the best choice ever, but it isn't as short sighted as you make it.

Plus he could write a book and a half about his life and it would be intriguing with the stuff he has gone through with his son and such.
