I have to admit it would be funny if the FCS game that ESPN picked this year doesn't even make the AGS Game of the Week. The JMU/UR and ISU/WIU games are 1a and 1b for sure, in no particular order. All four teams are gunning for playoff seeds.

UR and JMU makes sense since the two teams and fan bases do not like each other very much as well. I would say all three CAA VA schools are good rivals, but for W&M and UR it is a friendlier rivalry than it is for either with Madison..

Yea, JMU/UR has ESPN on their side, ISU/WIU has a lot of history behind it: 97th overall meeting, have met every year (except one) back to 1923.
Two very huge games, for sure...out of all four teams, only 1 FCS loss so far (sorry...that's on us).

How does that matter?

College GD doesn't pick it because it is the best matchup or they would not have been at NDSU for the games they were at.

Both of these games are extremely interesting for the very same reasons to me. They are just dead on similar across the board for me.

Same can be said for WIU ISUr. Game day being there should have zero bearing on if it's the GOTW. Or should the games NDSU had on Gameday been the GOTW as well simply because ESPN showed up? I think not.
