Good for coach. I look forward to PSU becoming a national contender.

Very cool. To say he deserves that is just too big an understatement but so be it, he does.

Congrats PSU. It seems well deserved. He's done a great job this year (but I hope he's wrong about this weekend's game).

Good on ya mate. Hopefully that means the admin is showing a bit of faith in still having the program exist for five more years.

Neither team is going anywhere...and remember when ISU was going to be the new top dog?

Congratulations to coach. About time lost the interim label. Hope Vikings demonstrate that the fluke game was UND, not the two FBS wins by making play offs, and advancing a bit, unless Rabbit holed.

Great to hear. Barnum seems like a good guy. I also get a kick out of his quotes to the press.

It was no fluke. UND controlled the line of scrimmage and dictated tempo the entire game.

I'm really happy for him. But if he continues his success he will end up at Oregon, Oregon State or another West Coast FBS before that 5 years is up.

Fluke? I know you didn't watch it so why say something stupid like that. Barnum's quotes over the next week after the game explain exactly who the better team was. If they played 10 times UND would win 7 of them and I base that on style of play.

Barnum has that group believing and that is a well-deserved extension.

Coach Barnum has earned the opportunity.

If UND was not a fluke game for the Viks, then PSU will lose most of their remaining games, and miss the play offs, despite the two FBS wins. This poster hopes that doesn't happen.

Regarding UND, are you a contender, that beats top 10 teams, ala PSU? Or a pretender, ala loser to ID St, NDSU? Voters here at AGS are polling formerly known as Sue, to be pretenders. Looking forward to what ex-NCC mate does rest of the season also.

What Top 10 team has Portland State beat? Yes, I do believe they are going to lose a couple games coming up here.

Regarding UND, they are not a Top 15 team. If they are healthy they are a 20-25 type of team. QB Studsrud will be out this weekend meaning they are going to struggle mightily to score because the backup cannot run (and his throwing is average).

No citdog, I would not rather have Kramer. You still miffed that Stitt doesn't want to recruit the south? :D

No-one can run on NoDak, so they match up well to run-heavy teams like PSU. Their secondary sucks, though, so a mediocre pass-first team probably has a better chance of beating NoDak than a good run-heavy team.

Exactly. Hence, Idaho State throwing for 400+ yards. Matchups. All about matchups if you are not a dominant team that can play any style.

I am hoping PSU becomes a contender, good to see different teams becoming a factor in the playoffs. As far as that loss to UND, hopefully they can start to be a legitimate challenge moving forward as well.

Congratulations, stability is now in the Portland State football program.

Could be a smoke screen to deflect the speculation about the program ending if it can't fund itself. Would be interesting to know if there is some kind of compensation provision if the program is deep-sixed. Hope it doesn't happen, but difficult to square this with the previous information this week about the need to self-fund.
