Lamar at NWST - Lamar should win this game, but at some point NW St will sneak up on somebody and spoil their conference title hopes and it could happen this weekend if not careful.... Lamar -10

SFA at SLU - I keep hearing SFA is the best 1-5 team in FCS. Their only win is over Nicholls St. ... SLU -24

SHSU at ACU - Kats need to be careful with this game and just take care of business. ACU is a team that can ruin the season. If this Kat team resembles anything like last weeks team, it will be a long "Homecoming Weekend" for the Wildcats. Kat O leading FCS in scoring .. SHSU - 10

HBU at Nicholls- I still scratch my head that HBU is in the Southland. Both team not good, but HBU may be a little better! (whatever that means)... Pick'em

McNeese at UCA- UCA could stir up the conference race with a win. McNeese hasn't really been tested to this point other than a tough win at home vs SE Louisiana. Conway is a tough place to play and I think there could be an upset brewing here, but Cowboys defense is shutting teams down so far... McNeese -7

HBU at Nicholls- HBU has 2 wins..so I really want a Nicholls win.

I'll put the most likely to least likely to no chance to win the SLC this year.

BEST CHANCES
McNeese- Offense is good but defense wins championships. McNeese so far has shown that. Only one game to win before the sleds come out.
SHSU- Great offense but even with average defense they have a great chance to do it. Passing game will win games for them.
SLU- Great defense. Offense is enough iMO to possibly win it but struggling.

DECENT CHANCES
UCA- Defense has stepped up. Offense is mediocre. Coach plays too many backups early so far. Hope that doesn't bite us in these contender games.
Lamar- Good offense. Defense alright. Still tough games ahead.

LITTLE CHANCES
ACU- Strange team. Plays well but forgets to bring players for contenders games.

NO CHANCES
UIW- Pressure bursts the pipes.
SFA- UPSET kings for this year at least. Spoilers on the move.
NWST- Not much offense or defense.
Nicholls- improving but still shows 0 in the win category.
HBU- still too young of a program.

With ACU, SFA, UCA and Northwestern all in the same conference, wearing the same shade of purple, I agree, this conference definitely needs some color!

The stadium will have a capacity of 12,000 fans, including berm, club level and suite seating. The club level will be on the first floor of the three-level press box with 10 suites lining the second floor and a press area on the third floor. The club level will include a large room capable of hosting multiple events for up to 500 people as well as outdoor seating available to fans that purchase club seating.

Construction is scheduled to begin in Jan. 2016 with completion in time for the 2017 home opener. We have already been set back a year due to problems with the original architects. Our admin is pleased with the new architect, so maybe its really a go this time.

Not that I enjoyed a loss but that was a great game that could have gone either way. A bad snap led directly to a Cowboy TD and an injury to our second string QB led to our third string QB getting mauled and that led to another TD. But even after that a near TD by us would have given us a chance. But we are down two QBs so that didnt work out either.

Give it to McNeese they played tough. Onto next week!
